Scott Bahner, Chief of Operations
Scott has been with Bucks County Rescue Squad since 2002. Having served in a variety of positions he was promoted to Chief in April 2006. Scott is a retired member of the Philadelphia Fire Department where he received numerous citations and merit awards for service. Scott is a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University where he graduated with a Bachelors of Science degree in biology. He is a graduate of the National Fire Academy where he attended numerous supervisory level certification courses including management of emergency medical services and advanced leadership in emergency medical services. Scott is certified to the fire fighter II level, along with instructional credentials in EMS, fire and rescue disciplines. With over 20 years as a paramedic, instructor and supervisor Scott brings vast experience to his position.

Joseph Barbagallo, Deputy Chief – Operations
Joe has been a member of the BCRS since 1989 and is a life member. Joe has held many leadership positions within BCRS including member of the Board of directors, Lieutenant, Capitan, Battalion Chief, Assistant Chief, Deputy Chief, and Chief. Joe became certified as an emergency medical technician in 1992 and has maintained his certification ever since. As a founding member of the EMS Bike Team at BCRS Joe has participated in many public service events and responses. Joe is very active in the community having served on the board of Bristol Borough Community Partnership, member of the Bristol Borough Event Planning Committee, and is a current member of the Bucks County Public Safety Committee and the Bucks County EMS strike team and Bucks County Technical Rescue Taskforce.

Joseph Hayes, Deputy Chief
Joe is our Deputy Chief for Administration and is a Nationally Registered Paramedic. Joe has 27 years experience in EMS, 22 of those years with the Bucks County Rescue Squad. Joe is the Public Information Officer and Director of Bucks County Rescue Squad’s new EMS training center. Joe is also serves as our Quality Improvement Coordinator. Joe has lectured on quality improvement at the 2006 EMS Expo in Las Vegas and is the author of the Quality Improvement in EMS column on www.EMSResponder.com .You can contact Joe at jhayes763@yahoo.com .

David Jaslow, MD, MPH, Unit Medical Director
Dr. Jaslow has over 25 years in EMS serving as a volunteer first aid provider, EMT and emergency medicine physician. After attending Penn State University and Thomas Jefferson Medical School Dr. Jaslow performed his residency in Emergency Medicine at the Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit Michigan then went on to receive his master’s in public health at the George Washington University in Washington DC where he also did his fellowship in emergency medical services and disaster medicine. Having served as a deputy medical director for the Washington DC Fire Department Dr. Jaslow played an important role in the development of their EMS system. Currently Dr. Jaslow serves as an attending emergency physician at the Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, Lead physician for the Pennsylvania Urban Search and Rescue Program, ALS service medical director for several commercial and non-commercial EMS service in and around the greater Philadelphia area.

Kimberly Dicken, Operations Secretary
Kimberly is our operations secretary. She has been an EMT for
over 10 years, and joined BCRS as an employee several years ago. Kim
assists the Chief of Operations and the Board of directors in the daily
functions and management of our organization.

Robert Mitchell, Medical Supplies Officer
is our Medical Supplies Coordinator and is a certified National Registry Emergenty Medical Technician – Paramedic (NREMT-P). Rob has been an employee with Bucks County Rescue Squad for more than five years. As the Medical Supply Coordinator he helps to shape the direction of the organization to ensure we have the tools we need to meet our mission.

Catharine Crohe, President of the Board
With over 20 years of service to the Bucks County Rescue Squad, Cathy is a life member having held several leadership positions within the squad including Deputy Chief and Chief of Operations, Vice President and President of the Board. Cathy is a licensed practical nurse and a past emergency medical technician. Cathy is credited with being a leading force with her “never say die” attitude. She led the squad through some difficult times including rebuilding after a devastating fire that destroyed the station. She brings her vast leadership and management experience to the position of President of the Board.

Donald Crohe, Vice President of the Board
Don is a life member with over 43 straight years of active service to Bucks County Rescue Squad. Don has served in numerous positions within the organization including President. Over the years Don has contributed in many ways to the growth and prosperity of the Squad by leading committees and taking personal interest in the security of the Squad as a whole.

Harry Crohe, Board member
Harry has been an active member every year for over 43 years. A life member of the Squad, Harry has held many positions with in the organization including Chief of Operations, President and Chairman of the Employee Relations Committee. Over the years the Squad has gone through some very difficult times with one being a catastrophic fire that destroyed our building. Harry, then president rallied the staff and spear headed a capital fund drive to rebuild. The drive culminated with Harry spending 72 straight hours on an elevated platform to raise money to build a new station. His dream came true three years later when the squad moved into its brand new quarters on the campus of Lower Bucks Hospital.

Dr. Barry Burton, DO. Board member
Dr. Burton joined our Board of Directors in 2006. As a retired emergency medicine physician and occupational health physician, previous registered nurse and paramedic instructor from the early 1980’s Dr. Burton brings his vast knowledge, understanding of emergency services and occupational health experiences to his position on our Board of Directors. As the President of a large non-profit organization Dr. Burton has the keen understanding necessary to help guide the operational as well as the administrative aspects of the Squad.
