Bucks County Rescue Squad (BCRS) serves the residence and visitors of Bristol Borough and Bristol Township. Along with providing primary 911 emergency responses medical emergencies, vehicles crashes, fires, hazardous materials incidents, etc the Bucks County Rescue Squad is the sole EMS support agency to the Bucks County Technical Rescue Taskforce.
BCRS provides emergency response throughout the region in support of the Bucks County Hazardous Materials Team to provide technical support with rehab and equipment that is stored on MCI-4.
BCRS has an EMS bike team of specially trained EMS personnel that are trained in the affective use and control of bicycles in the EMS area. These personnel carry EMS equipment on bikes during special events and mass gatherings to quickly gain access in congested areas.
As a participating agency in the Pennsylvania EMS Strike Team, BCRS provides vehicles, equipment and personnel in support of regional, state and nationally declared disasters requiring large quantities of resources. BCRS personnel were forwardly deployed following hurricane Katrina in support of the national mitigation efforts. We spent nearly 17 days in the decimated Louisiana areas.
As a partner in the community we offer continuing education to local EMS and Fire personnel, Free citizen CPR training, and we contribute to the local print medial for the purposes of educating the citizens on specific topics of concern to EMS personnel.
